So, I watched King Kong tonight, and was really interested in the concept of giant monsters invading large cities. So here's a game concept:
An alien life-form crashes into a fledgling planet. The friction from the impact greatly injures the creature, and so it spreads it's spores outward to infest every available living creature. The life-form wishes to use the creatures of this planet to re-build itself through natural selection. It beefs up the infected creatures to try to improve their odds of survival. So, the planet is now populated by powerful mutated creatures and highly evolved beings (namely, humans). Those beings have built settlements using advanced technology, and using that same technology fight for dominance over the other species.
So, it's a lot like our world, only if dinosaurs, giant insects, and "mythical" creatures (like dragons, manticores, and griffins) wandered the vast unexplored wilderness. Occasionally these creatures wander too close to human settlements. When this happens, these settlements typically deploy armed brigades to hunt them down to ensure the safety of the citizens.
...to be continued...
